THE FOOTBALL HUNTERS ~ While in South India I was asked by several groups of kids to buy them footballs. In exchange of the balls I asked them to pose in 5 groups of 11 so as to form ...the word Totti, a soccer player they knew well and associated with Italy ~ The following day in a small shop in Trivandrum I noticed several punctured footballs. I left the shop with new footballs for the kids and 14 punctured balls for me ~ I had the balls opened up and stitched together by some cobblers ~ One year later I returned to India and started a trip around 7 Indian states looking for and collecting punctured balls ~ The project gained national media attention across India and was made into a documentary called The Football Hunters.
